Joe Glavan is a graduate student at Wright State University majoring in Human Factors and Industrial/Organizational Psychology. He received his B.S. in Cognitive Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2013. His research interests include using mathematical and computational cognitive models to study how humans interact with human, machine, and ecological systems; combining multiple sources of information to make complex decisions. His current projects involve using Systems Factorial Technology (SFT) to study how humans use color and shape in visual search tasks. His master's work uses ACT-R to formalize working memory performance in complex span tasks.
