Andrew earns the Graduate Student Excellence Award

On April 16, the graduate program honored Drew as this years's recipient of their award. The program lists his accomplishments as follows:

Drew has an impressive record of scholarly accomplishment while meeting degree progress in a timely fashion. His depth in psycholinguistics applied to mediated communication makes him an essential team member on campus-wide collaboration. He suggested the seeker-supplier analyses on Twitter traffic for emergency response investigated on an NSF grant. He has completed domain-specific training to assure the relevance of his research to the application. As a model department citizen, Drew has twice managed the recruitment of new graduate students, and serves as a GTA teaching The Psychology of Film course. He is setting a great standard for other students. Drew's advisor is Dr. Valerie Shalin.
